Premier Letting Agents in London Bridge London SE1
Area Comments
Extremely old and extremely new meet head on in the London Bridge area, making it one of the most exciting and varied places in London to live. Fabulous connections everywhere in the city don't hurt either - but the young people, professionals and couples who seek to live here are coming also because the property can be out of this world.
The area of London Bridge is spectacular at night - the city, lit up, is extremely beautiful. Both the area right round the station and inland, down Borough High Street, are well stocked with entertainment, theatres, places to eat and drink in plenty. The wonderful Hays Galleria is just a couple of minutes walk away, with its mix of high class restaurants and bars. The Cut, one of the oldest streets, contains great food as well. Local landmarks include the Clink Museum, commemorating the old prison of London, as well as the replica of Sir Francis Drake's Golden Hinde.
You'll never run out of things to do in the London Bridge area - whether it's walks (or boat tours) along the river and taking in the South Bank with its bars, restaurants and theatres, or walking the Tate Modern, there's attractions everywhere.
But the best attractions are undoubtedly for the locals, the mix of housing. Inland of course there are some council blocks, as well as terraces of Victorian properties which provide still affordable options. But the main attractions for many are the industrial buildings, the old Victorian and Georgian Warehouse developments that line the river. In these buildings, such as Butlers Wharf just a few minutes walk from the Bridge, loft style living finds its apogee - the properties here are uniformly lovely, even the least of them commanding views of the city and the river that are hard to beat; this is industrial space living that beats Hoxton or Shoreditch, simply because of access and view. The urban wonderland of these industrial buildings forms a kind of city forest of walks amid the tall 'trees' of the warehouses, and those that live here love walking either to and from work, or simply to take the river air.
A fantastic area to live, exciting, hugely developed and filled with attractions, London Bridge is a rewarding area to look if you're into large, stylish spaces and river views - and who isn't?

Swiss Cottage: Cosmopolitan and classy
Finding housing in London can be a challenging experience. While the capital's many boroughs and districts offer a wide variety of choice and all-year-round availability, you might find yourself utterly overwhelmed by what's on offer. Even once you find that potential abode that includes enough rooms and a big enough garden within that price range - which is likely to be fairly hefty in London - you might then struggle to match it to a particular school, bus route or other service necessary to your everyday life.
