New NLA board member announced
Barry Markham, the new director on the National Landlords Association (NLA) board, will bring "many years of experience" to his new position, which the group's chairman David Salusbury thinks will be beneficial to Landlords across the country.Tenants of property to rent in London and the rest of the UK are sure to feel the effects of any positive changes, it would seem.
It is the second time that Mr Markham has been appointed to the role, but he temporality resigned in November 2008 due to legal challenges related to the merger between the NLA and his former employers the Southern Private Landlords Association (SPLA).
In May this year, the High Court dismissed the challenges and this has allowed the director to return to his post.
"Now that the High Court has made its decision, we can put past difficulties behind us and move on," Mr Salusbury commented.
At the time of the court outcome, the chairman said it was "a relief" to put an end to the saga.
