Location

Regents Park is actually the name of a Royally Approved stretch of green land positioned in North-West London and partly in the borough of Camden. The stunning residences on offer make for a gorgeous place to live, especially considering the grassy surroundings which make an ideal stomping ground for families with dogs or children. Take a stroll alongside Regents Canal, which connects the Grand Union Canal to the former London docks.

The district is situated relatively close to the centre of town, making for a number of easy transportation options. Residents have easy access to a large number of Tube lines from Mornington Crescent, Baker Street and Regents Park itself, with city workers no doubt particularly grateful for the Jubilee line which goes straight to Canary Wharf. Buses and taxis are also not too difficult to come by, while rail giants Kings Cross, Euston and London St Pancras are within walking distance.

Housing

In the south, east and most of the west side of the area, you'll find impeccably-kept white stucco terraces designed by the famous architect John Nash. Immediately south of these are Park Square and Park Crescent, which are worth checking out if you're able to spend a small fortune on your new home.

For those who aren't so keen to sell their souls and/or body parts in order to afford a house, there is Primrose Hill, situated just north of the royal park itself. This provides a more cost-friendly alternative while still being relatively upmarket, and the housing here is just as gorgeous. Prim, proper, quiet and dainty, the properties here represent the epitome of the perfect family home. Expect beautifully-kept exteriors with plenty of embellishment and ornamentation around the windows and doors.

Things to do

Regents Park is known to hundreds of tourists as the home of London Zoo, but this charming area has much more to offer in the way of attractions, eateries and watering holes. Particularly renowned for its traditional English pubs, the area is chock full of places for residents to grab an alcoholic drink - to enjoy inside or outdoors with views of the canal on a hot summers' day. 

Failing that, take a couple of beers and a picnic to enjoy on the grass in the actual park itself where you can watch the people passing by. There are fantastic views of Westminster and the city that it would be a shame to waste.
