Work of carers in Harrow celebrated
The work of carers, some of whom are living in property to rent in the London borough of Harrow, is to be celebrated next week.
From June 13th - 19th, National Carers Week will take place and Harrow Council is staging a host of events to mark this.
The activities have been designed by carers for carers and will promote the support that is on offer to those who hold a role that involves looking after friends or relatives.
Councillor Margaret Davine, portfolio holder for adults' social care, health and wellbeing, said: "Carers Week is a great opportunity to thank all of the many carers in our community. The work they do is invaluable, supporting some of our most vulnerable residents."
The events will include afternoon tea and a carers quiz at St Peter's Church, West Harrow from 13:00-15:00 BST on Friday June 17th.
Earlier this month, Harrow Council revealed that one in three blue badge owners are using their parking permits incorrectly.
