Sports funding may benefit people in flats to rent in London
People occupying flats to rent in London may be pleased to hear that a further £2.4 million has been made available for projects across the city.
In total, £5.4 million has been awarded to schemes that are designed to increase participation in physical activities throughout the capital.
"Sport brings huge health and social benefits to individuals, communities and this city," said Mayor of London Boris Johnson.
The funding has come from Mr Johnson's Olympic Sports Legacy Programme and is attributed to the 18 ventures in order to try and engage 200,000 people from the city, such as those in flats to rent.
Kate Hoey, sports commissioner for the mayor, said: "The projects we are announcing today all have the potential to make a real difference to the lives of Londoners."
Last week, a representative for Visit London stated the expansion of Mr Johnson's cycle scheme gives individuals the opportunity to explore the capital in new ways.
