Price comparison sites could help people in flats to rent in London
It may benefit people living in flats to rent in London to use a price comparison website in order to find the cheapest provider of energy to their home, following advice from one expert.
Mark Todd, director at energyhelpline.com, said the best way to cut costs is for an individual to contact their cheapest supplier through a reputable online assessment company and switch provider on the web.
"The cheapest deals are generally internet deals and they are not the fixed deals, they are the variable rate deals," he noted.
Mr Todd's comments follow research published by uSwitch.com that showed three-fifths of UK households are concerned about how much it will cost them to heat their homes this winter.
According to the study, three-quarters of homes have already or plan to cut back on their energy use in a bid to reduce bills, while 17 per cent of individuals claimed they went without adequate heating over the same period last year.
