People in flats to rent in London may benefit from security advice
People living in flats to rent in London may decide to consider a number of tips that have been offered on how a home can be kept secure over the festive season.
Graeme Trudgill, technical and corporate affairs executive at the British Insurance Brokers' Association, advised individuals to keep valuable items hidden and to ensure all windows and doors are locked at night.
"With Christmas coming up, unfortunately burglars are known to head for the Christmas tree and take the presents from underneath," he noted.
Mr Trudgill added that people - including those in flats to rent - should check their insurance policies are up to date if they are planning on going away to ensure cover doesn't run out while they are gone.
Head of household insurance at Hastings Direct Shaun Law stated Britons should be checking their home protection policies in anticipation of a rise in the number of smart gadgets being sold this Christmas.
