Olympic Games boosts family lettings in London
The upcoming Olympic Games has resulted in an increase in families looking for property to rent in London.
This is according to WA Ellis and the firm also revealed that rent levels have remained static in recent months.
Richard Barber, partner in residential sales at WA Ellis, said: "There is of course good reason to be optimistic with regards London property and it has proved to be an excellent long-term investment and provider of steady rental yield."
However, the expert went on to note people have to balance these figures with a degree of understanding that the economic crisis is still ongoing.
He added the perceived wisdom that all prime housing can command in excess of £2,000 per sq ft is unrealistic.
Mr Barber remarked that all guide prices should be looked at carefully to see whether or not the mark is justified, while all property owners should be looking to avoid long stays on the market.
