New train links could help tenants in flats to rent in London
The announcement that a rail service is virtually doubling the number of trains in runs at peak times in the centre of London may be of interest to people in flats to rent.
"Confirmation that the Thameslink project will go ahead in full means that train capacity across the whole of London will be greatly increased within a decade," said leader of the Liberal Democrat London Assembly Group Caroline Pidgeon.
She noted that the news is a great day for the city's economy and for commuters who use the rail network to travel into the heart of the capital.
At a time when public finances are being restricted and short-term decisions are being made across several areas, the latest proposals to improve transport in London show the ease with which people can travel in the capital has not been compromised, Ms Pidgeon added.
Last week, a London Assembly Transport Committee report revealed one in ten Londoners cannot access some sections of public transport due to reduced mobility.
