'More looking' for energy efficient rented homes
A growing number of tenants in the UK are seeking private sector landlords that have energy efficient property to rent.
The Residential Landlords' Association reported that Britons appear to be following a trend to cut carbon emissions by reducing utility bills by demanding more economical abodes from those looking to let out a home.
It cited the Energy Saving Trust, which recommends condensing boilers be installed in their properties as a straightforward means of reducing bills for people looking to rent a dwelling.
Although private sector landlords are being encouraged to adopt an economical approach, one of the examples may come from Glasgow Housing Association and its prototype eco-homes that may cost as little as £2 per week for heating and hot water.
What seems certain is that while continued reports of mortgage availability and house prices are keeping buyers out of the market, more people might consider looking for property to rent in the London borough of Bexley, possibly with energy efficient measures included.
