Money available for Haringey children's centres
The local council has confirmed to those living in property to rent in the London borough of Haringey that money is being made available to cover the accommodation costs of some children's services in the area
Health services at Highgate, Northbank and Rokesley Children's Centres are to be given funding by the council.
The centres will be able to use a one-off payment to develop new services, such as baby yoga.
"It's clear that children's centres are highly valued and everyone involved, parents, governors, heads, staff and council members all share a common desire to build on the good work done to date," said councillor Lorna Reith, cabinet member for children at Haringey Council.
She went on to say that, by covering the accommodation costs at Highgate, Northbank and Rokesley Children's Centres, the council is ensuring that the important services can continue.
Next month, Haringey's Chickenshed Theatre will be putting on a popular interactive children's show to entertain youngsters in the area.
