Merton residents urged to complete census
Those living in property to rent in the London borough of Merton are being urged by their local council to complete their census forms.
Sunday March 27th is census day and Merton Council is calling on locals to stand up and be counted.
Residents will have already received their forms, or should do in the next few days.
The paper forms can be filled in and returned for free in the post, or residents can choose to fill in their details online.
Results of the survey will help the government to identify the needs of both the nation as a whole and specific areas as well.
Councillor Mark Allison, Merton Council cabinet member for finance, said: "The information from the census will help us deliver the services residents in Merton really need for the future, especially in areas that require more support."
Last week, Merton Council announced that it had agreed its budget for 2011/2012.
