Market a property with the kitchen and bathroom
London-based landlords looking to successfully market their properties should make sure that the kitchens and bathrooms are as attractive as possible.
Andrew Leech, director of the National Home Improvement Council (NHIC), has said people are increasingly aware of design trends,
As such, landlords should look at kitchens and bathrooms as the "real marketing tool of the house".
Mr Leech explained that, rather than just a shower, for example, people are now looking for a wetroom, while in the kitchen stainless steel is popular, but tenants will want whatever they see in design magazines.
He commented: "People are more and more aware these days of the direction in which trends are going. I think mainly because if the programmes on the television that we see and also the glossy magazines."
In August this year, the average price of a house in the UK was £164,654 – a decrease of 1.9 per cent on the previous month.
