Londoners urged to use Oyster online
Public transport users in London are being urged to top up their Oyster cards online.
Transport for London (TFL) is trying to encourage more people to use the service so they can save queuing up at stations to add funds to their travel card.
And for those who do log on to the Oyster service on the web over the next three weeks there is the chance to win one of 120 iPod touch models.
The competition will last until March 22nd with 40 iPods handed to Londoners each week from today.
Director of fares and ticketing at TFL Shashi Verma described Oyster cards as "the quickest, easiest and most convenient way to get around", adding: "With Oyster you can get on board the train, tram or bus having bought your ticket sitting on your sofa over the weekend."
It was recently announced that TFL has joined forces with Stansted Express to enable passengers to purchase Visitor Oysters along with their train tickets at the airport before they have arrived in the capital.
