London bus designs on display
Entries to a competition to design a new London bus are now on display, Transport for London (TFL) has announced.
Winners as well as some of the more unusual contributions to the contest can be seen for free at the London Transport Museum, after more than 700 designs were submitted.
The 27 prize-winners - including the two entries that took joint-first place - are joined by 50 others.
Mayor of the capital Boris Johnson remarked: "A terrific amount of hard work went into each design and I believe no one visiting the display will fail to be impressed at the creative thinking shown by every entrant."
Among the designs being showcased is the Bath Bus, which adds a spa to the top deck of the iconic Routemaster vehicle.
TFL announced the winners of the competition in December, with Capoco Design sharing the honour with a collaboration between Aston Martin and Foster and Partners.
Londoners are set to see the first new bus being used by 2011.
