'Insurance important' at flats to rent in London
Students looking for flats to rent in London ready for when they start university at one of the capital's institutions have been reminded about the importance of taking out insurance.
A spokesman from the Association of British Insurers (ABI) explained that many youngsters take a range of expensive electronic equipment with them when they leave home.
However, with all the other distractions, often ensuring they have a policy to cover their valuables in case of theft can be overlooked.
"For peace of mind and a bit of security, contents insurance can play a very important part," he stated.
Students were advised to make sure the cover they get reflects their living situation, as those living on their own in a flat to rent in London may need a different policy to someone in a shared house.
A recent survey by Endsleigh revealed that the average teenager takes just under £4,000 worth of possessions with them to university.
