Individuals in flats to rent in Merton could have their say on transport
People living in flats to rent in the London borough of Merton could benefit the community by voicing their opinions on how transport can be improved in the area.
Residents can attend the public transport liaison committee meeting, taking place next Tuesday (October 26th) in the council chamber.
Councillor Russell Makin, chair of the sustainable communities overview and scrutiny panel, said: "This meeting will give residents an opportunity to comment on the services provided within Merton."
Starting at 19:15 BST, the gathering will provide residents with the opportunity to speak to transport providers directly.
Suggestions can be put forward concerning ways public transport could be improved and community members can raise concerns over any existing issues.
A question-and-answer session will be held on the night along with presentations from bus, tram, train and Tube providers.
The Merton in Bloom and Leisure Garden and Allotment awards took place last night, which recognise the best gardens, balconies, hanging baskets and allotments in the area.
