Havering's cabinet to consider plans for new pool and ice rink
Those living in property to rent in the London borough of Havering may soon have a new swimming pool and ice rink on their doorsteps if plans are approved.
Havering's cabinet is to consider proposals for a new leisure centre, ice rink and pool in Romford town centre at its meeting on June 15th.
Councillor Michael White, leader of Havering Council, said: "We've been working on this project for a number of years but we haven't managed to find the right deal. Now it seems that the right deal is within reach."
He went on to say that the council wants to make sure that the best possible facilities are built at the lowest possible cost to local taxpayers.
If the plans are approved by the cabinet, then the report will be considered by the full council.
Over the recent half term holiday break, those living in property to rent in the London borough of Havering were invited to take part in a number of fun events and activities in the area's libraries.
