Havering primary schools open
Two new primary schools have opened near to property to rent in the London borough of Havering.
The doors of Elm Park Primary School in Hornchurch and Hylands Primary School in Romford have finally opened.
It is the first time in more than 30 years that new primary schools have opened in the London borough.
Graham Player, headteacher at Hylands Primary School, said: "What a fantastic opportunity, we have state-of-the-art facilities which allow us to enjoy and expand our curriculum, with purpose built facilities indoor and out."
He went on to say that the school will be a great place for young people in the area to learn "for years to come".
Councillor Paul Rochford, cabinet member for children and learning, enjoyed a tour of the building on Monday (June 13th).
Earlier this month, children in the area enjoyed a host of half-term fun events at libraries across the borough.
