Harrow Council to help residents celebrate royal wedding
Those living in flats to rent in the London borough of Harrow are receiving help from their local council in celebrating the royal wedding.
Harrow Council has teamed up with contractors and local utility companies to help residents close their roads.
Enterprise Mouchel, National Grid Gas and Veolia Water have provided cones, barriers and signs to the council, which will be delivered to party organisers the day before the wedding.
Usually, anyone closing a road is required to hire safety barriers to block traffic, so the council's efforts mean that organisers have one less thing to think about.
Portfolio holder for environment and community safety at Harrow Council, Phillip O'Dell, said: "I'd like to thank the utility companies for working with us to help residents' parties go smoothly."
Earlier this month, the council revealed that it had received extra funding to repair the potholes that litter the roads around property to rent in the London borough of Harrow.
