Glowing Ofsted report for Merton children's centre
A children's centre used by families living in property to rent in the London borough of Merton has been given a good rating by Ofsted.
Abbey Children's Centre, which is located at Merton Abbey Primary School, impressed inspectors with the close relationships between its staff members.
"They work together well because they understand each other's roles and are willing to get the best possible advice and support for families," the report stated.
Ofsted also praised the centre's partnership work with a wide range of other professional groups in the area.
It went on to give positive comments about the good support the centre provides to families regarding financial difficulties and the information it provides about housing, benefits, training and employment.
Next week sees the start of Foster Care Fortnight, which is being celebrated in Merton from May 16th - 29th.
The local council is urging residents to consider fostering as a possible career.
