Flats to rent in London news: Buyer interest in housing 'down'
flats to rent in London may be becoming more popular, after new statistics showed individuals across the UK were less inclined to purchase a property in June.
Figures from the latest Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Housing Market Survey found buyer enquiries dropped during the 30-day period when compared with the previous month.
According to the organisation, this is the first time a decline has occurred since the beginning of this year with a net balance of -5 industry experts reporting a lack of enthusiasm.
RICS noted this was despite the number of available properties rising at its fastest rate in over three years, jumping from +22 to +27.
Sales predictions are optimistic, it added, but there is less positivity across the market than in May.
The news follows recent comments by Mark Garner, managing director at LettingZone, who claimed many first-time buyers are put off investing in a new property because of the price.
