Edgware's Krishna Avanti School to receive royal visit
Hindu students living in flats to rent in Edgware can look forward to a visit by the Queen to the Krishna Avanti School on March 29th 2012.
The monarch will be visiting the UK's first Hindu state school when she tours Harrow as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations, with music, dance and a photography exhibition all set to take place.
Former Harrow High School pupils have composed a musical score that will be performed by Harrow community choir singers for the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh on the day.
Meanwhile, a specially commissioned tapestry will be unveiled at the school in order to provide students with a lasting reminder of the royal visit.
Bill Stephenson, leader of Harrow Council, said: "It is a real honour that the Queen chose to visit Harrow and the event will be an exciting, memorable way to celebrate London's diversity."
This will be the first time the Queen has visited Harrow in almost eight years.
