Demand for property-to-let "remains strong"
People looking for property to rent in London may be interested to hear that demand for property-to-let is still strong in the UK.
According to the latest Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Lettings Survey, more landlords are reporting an increase in their rents for the 12 months to April 2010.
This compares with the previous year when more owners of such properties were reporting drops in revenue.
RICS spokesman Jeremy Leaf said that while houses were marginally more popular than flats at the moment, flats were "starting to re-establish their appeal".
Its survey showed that tenant demand had increased from +19 to +30 on RICS's scale over the three months to April and property expert Edward Reeve suggested that the market in the capital remained "steady" compared with other areas of the country.
News that homes-to-let are still in demand may be of interest to people looking for property to rent in the London borough of Brent or elsewhere in the UK.
