Area Feature
Greenwich, located in the SE10 postcode, is a great place for young people who want some greenery nearby, as well as easy access to the City of London.
The majority of those living in the area are in their 20s and 30s and they're well educated, trying to develop their careers in professional and managerial roles, according to UpMyStreet.com's neighbourhood overview.
Most people live in purpose-built flats in some of the attractive suburbs Greenwich boasts and they tend to have a very high interest in current affairs.
Very few of the residents own their home - the majority rent property - and not many people living there have children.
Transport
Greenwich is very close to the city centre, making it a great place for people who travel into the heart of London for their work or for nights out.
While most people have a car - with many buying expensive new models due to their high incomes - the majority use public transport to commute into their place of work.
Greenwich National Rail station itself connects with Southeastern services, allowing people to easily travel to Central London, or out to the countryside in Kent. It also has access to DLR services.
There is also an Underground stop at North Greenwich, which is fairly easy to get to, particularly via bus, and this is where The O2 is located - where an array of different concerts and shows take place.
Bus routes are also good in the area, meaning you'll be able to head to Russell Square to enjoy a West End show of an evening or even to Blackheath Village if you fancy a slap-up meal.
Schools
Even though there are fairly few families living in Greenwich, there are some good schools on offer, many of which boast higher-than-average Key Stage 2 Sats results at primary level.
Among these are the Nightingale Primary School, St Margaret's Church of England Primary School, St Peter's Catholic Primary School, Foxfield Primary School and Notre Dame Catholic Primary School.
The pupils at the latter are the highest achievers, with 93 per cent of children gaining the national average score in English and maths, and 97 per cent achieving this in science.
Students at St Pauls Academy and Plumstead Manor/Negus School in Greenwich do well at secondary level, with 58 per cent and 53 per cent respectively gaining five or more A* to C grades in their GCSEs.

Shopping in the area is fantastic as well, as there are so many quirky, independent retails, as well as street market stalls, meaning you'll be spoilt for choice if you're looking for some to add a touch of class to your new flat in Greenwich.
With Greenwich Park just on your doorstep as well, you could even enjoy a late-summer picnic in one of the most beautiful green spaces in the English capital.
The area is so close to the heart of London - just 20 minutes - so there are some great activities just a bit further afield too, meaning you really won't be at a loss when you're hunting for something new to do.
