Area Comments
Very much a family area, Bush Hill Park is a great location if you're looking for entry level housing in a pleasant area, as well as being a fantastic base for families.
The area of Bush Hill Park has been occupied since Roman Times, but until the early 19th Century was almost entirely undeveloped. It wasn't until the later part of the Victorian Period that any homes were bought or sold at all, and thus Bush Hill Park's housing begins with the Victorian period.
Victorian houses therefore make up the mainstay of Bush Hill Parks' property - large and mid-range Victorian and Edwardian properties, both detached and semis, are commonplace. There are mid-war semis in the area to the south, as the North Circular begins to dominate the area. There is a distinct divide between the Ponders End section of the area and the Edmonton end, the latter being more affordable, although property here is all easily accessible to most families.
For a region in the shadow of such a huge road this is a relaxed and green, leafy place to be. There are plenty of wide, tree-lined streets. Bush Hill Park itself is lovely and calm, whilst other green spaces such as Epping Forest are only a short distance away.
Excellent for young families, an area with a great mix of young and old, Bush Hill Park might be only a hop from the North Circular but it has a real suburban feel that makes it a great place to look for anyone looking to get a base in North London with a good amount of change in their pocket.
