Young Islington residents urged to take part in arts festival
Young people living in flats to rent in the London borough of Islington and other property in the area are being urged to take part in the Platform Festival.
This event is a celebration of youth arts and is set to take place form July 15th-31st.
Original works, including dance and drama performances, have been created with, by and for young people.
Anyone aged 13-19, regardless of their ability and experience, is permitted to get involved.
Islington Council's executive member for children and young people, councillor Richard Watts, said: "The Platform Festival will be a fantastic way to celebrate the huge amount of creative talent that young people in Islington have to offer."
He went on to say that he wants to see as many young people as possible taking part.
Earlier this month, the local council announced to those living in property to rent in the London borough of Islington that local companies had raised more than £20,000 to pay for hanging baskets in the area.
