Water park opens in Lambeth
Families considering moving to flats to rent in the London borough of Lambeth may be persuaded to do so when they hear that a new water park has opened in the area.
The children's water play area is located in Brockwell Park and features a paddling pool, rock pools, a stream and a sandpit.
Councillor Florence Nosegbe, cabinet member for culture, sport and the 2012 Games, said: "On a warm day I can't imagine many places better for children and their families to come and play and enjoy themselves."
She went on to label the new facility as "tremendous" and said she cannot wait to see it being used.
The park cost around £360,000 and was funded by Lambeth Council, the Big Lottery Fund, the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Dick Sheppard Trust.
Back in March, students from Bishop Thomas Grant School in Streatham, Lambeth, won the top prize at the borough's school debating competition.
