Tower Hamlets residents take part in Adult Learners' Week
People living in property to rent in the London borough of Tower Hamlets are taking part in Adult Learners' Week.
This week of events and workshops is providing people in the area with the opportunity to learn a number of new skills or brush up those that have got a bit rusty.
Free taster sessions are being held at Shadwell Centre and Idea Stores in Canary Wharf, Whitechapel, Bow and Chrisp Street this week.
On Thursday (May 19th) people have from 12:00-18:00 BST to visit the Idea Store in Whitechapel, where they can improve their computer skills, learn a language or play a musical instrument.
Judith St John, head of lifelong learning at Tower Hamlets Council, said: "Adult Learners' Week is a good opportunity to showcase the range of courses we have on offer and I hope residents will take advantage of the information days."
Earlier this month, the council urged those living in flats to rent in the London borough of Tower Hamlets and other properties in the area to suggest names for five new neighbourhoods that will be developed on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park after the Games next year.
