Redbridge residents urged to try parkour
Thrill seekers living in property to rent in Redbridge have been invited to get involved in a new extreme sport.
Part of Goodmayes Park has been dedicated to parkour - also known as freerunning - and London-based group the Inner City Monkeys will be hosting a training session on Saturday September 10th.
Between 10:30 and 14:00 BST they will be showcasing their skills and teaching visitors the techniques they need to enjoy the sport.
Dean McDonald, from the Inner City Monkeys said, "Being part of this project was a privilege, all four of us have really enjoyed getting involved. The parkour units are going to be a great area to train and enjoy for all abilities within parkour and freerunning.
"We're really looking forward to seeing the public utilise this fantastic piece of equipment," he added.
The parkour area was funded through the local council's three-year play improvement programme, which has resulted in 24 natural play areas being installed across the borough.
