Redbridge residents' money saving ideas taken on board
The money saving ideas of those living in flats to rent in the London borough of Redbridge and other property in the area are to be taken on board by the local council.
Redbridge Council received more than 1,300 suggestions on how to save funds as part of the Redbridge Conversation 2010.
This was a major public consultation designed to inform residents about the amount of savings the council has to make over the next three years.
"All written suggestions have received a response from the council and the next steps will now be to look at implementing the most feasible suggestions," a statement from the council reads.
A report on the progress of the suggestions is set to be produced next year.
Last month, Fullwell Cross library in Barkingside, Redbridge, reopened after being refurbished to include a children's centre, despite the tough cuts that the council is having to make.
