Redbridge primary school students achieve top writing marks
Primary school pupils living in flats to rent in the London borough of Redbridge, as well as others in the area, have contributed to high writing levels in the Key Stage 2 exams.
Children in the area matched the national average for youngsters achieving level 4 and above in their Sats tests for both English and maths.
Some 74 per cent of pupils in the borough managed to score highly in their recent exams.
Writing was the area in which they excelled the most, with 77 per cent scoring level 4 and above - two per cent higher than the national average.
Redbridge was in the top 15 per cent of all 152 local authorities in England and Wales following students' good results.
Last month, more than 7,000 people headed to the London 2012 at Inspiration 2011 event in Redbridge on July 24th.
There were pony rides, ferry trips, stalls, and arts and crafts activities, among others, on offer for residents.
