Property to rent in Barnet may be popular after free ticket offer
People with children of school age may be interested in property to rent in Barnet after the local football club revealed an offer of entry without charge to youngsters living in the borough.
The club is to offer complimentary tickets to pupils at secondary schools in the borough, in a link-up with the council, the Barnet and Potters Bar Times reports.
Commercial manager of the club Darran Wood said: "The reason behind it is it's crucial we build the fan base at the club and we need to encourage younger fans."
Barnet only became members of the Football League in the 1990s and have had one spell out of the league since then, with more established neighbours like Watford, Arsenal and Tottenham taking support from surrounding areas.
Those with children who are thinking of moving to the area may also be encouraged by news that the council's children's services have recently been praised by Ofsted inspectors, with a rating of "excellent" awarded for 2010.
