Planning alerts service launched for people in Barnet
A new service designed to inform people living in the London borough of Barnet of new planning applications in their area has been launched.
Barnet Council announced the launch of the Barnet Planning Alerts section of its website yesterday (March 7th).
Councillor Robert Rams, cabinet member for customer access and partnerships, said: "This is just one of a number of innovations we have developed to improve services by using our website in new and imaginative ways."
He went on to explain that residents have the chance to opt-in to receive information on planning applications made for projects and developments near to them.
People who wish to receive alerts will be asked to provide their email address along with either their postcode or the ward that they are interested in.
Earlier this month, councillor Lisa Rutter was elected the 47th Mayor Designate of Barnet following a full council meeting at Hendon Town Hall.
