Parking fines increase in Camden
The value of fines issued to vehicles parked improperly near to property to rent in the London borough of Camden has risen.
Higher rate Band A Penalty Charge Notices have increased to £130, but this rate is reduced by 50 per cent if paid within 14 days from when they were issued.
Those Penalty Charge Notices classed as Band B have increased to £110, but, again, this is reduced by 50 per cent if paid within two weeks.
Camden Council also revealed that the clamp release fee was to remain at £70, the release fee from the pound was to stay at £200 and storage fees at £40 per day.
The changes to Penalty Charge Notice rates came into force on April 15th.
Earlier this month, Camden Council announced that on Friday April 29th, the day of the royal wedding, bank holiday parking enforcement will be in operation.
This will also be the case for Friday April 22nd and Monday April 25th.
