New Year fireworks display could be enjoyed by tenants in flats to rent in London
Tenants occupying flats to rent in London may decide to head down to the banks of the Thames and enjoy the fireworks spectacle that is set to take place there on New Year's Eve.
The show will be put on by Cambridgeshire firm Kimbolton Fireworks, which will work alongside producers Jack Morton Worldwide - with BBC Radio 1 DJ Nihal providing music to accompany the event.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson said there is something primal and exhilarating about the noisy explosions and flashing lights of a fireworks event.
"With our dazzling display we want to capture the dynamism, colour and energy that are the hallmarks of our great city," he added.
As well as the main event, there are many other attractions taking place around the city - including the Mayor's Carol Service, which is being held in Southwark Cathedral.
On January 1st, people living in flats to rent in London could watch the London New Year's Day parade, which passes by the Ritz Hotel, Piccadilly, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and Parliament Square between 12:00 GMT and 15:00 GMT.
