New Redbridge Youth Parliament members voted in
Young people living in flats to rent in the London borough of Redbridge and other types of property in the area have voted in their two new UK Youth Parliament Members.
More than 8,000 votes were cast in Redbridge, with Sophia Hoondle and Alex Grigorescu, both from Seven Kings High School, being elected.
Tash Miah Woodford of County High School and Adam Patel from Valentines High School were voted in as their deputies.
Ms Hoondle, 15, said that she wants to make a "positive impact" in the area.
"I'm looking forward to learning a new range of skills and helping to make the future of Redbridge's young people a more promising one," she added.
Voting for the new Youth Parliament Members lasted for two weeks.
Earlier this month, community groups and residents living in property to rent in the London borough of Redbridge were honoured at the Redbridge Safer Communities Awards.
