New-build home prices rise
first-time buyers are learning that the price of newly built homes has increased by almost two per cent in a month, according to new figures.
Data from SmartNewHomes.com for April revealed that the average cost had risen to £220,190 - a jump of 1.9 per cent.
Furthermore, the company's managing director David Bexon suggested that buyers are willing to sacrifice their preferred location in order to secure a new property.
This follows warnings from the Home Builders Federation that the government needed to develop a plan in order to address the problem facing many house hunters who are likely to stay with their parents longer because they cannot afford one.
News of a rise in the cost-new build homes together with warning about potential lack of new stock for purchasers may encourage more people to consider looking for property to rent in the London borough of Hillingdon or elsewhere in the country.
