Moving to property to rent in Enfield made easier
Moving to property to rent in the London borough of Enfield has been made easier by the local council.
According to Enfield Council, some 20,000 people move to the borough each year.
These people now have access to an easy-to-use service that provides them with lots of information about their new neighbourhood.
The residents' page on the council's website features information on waste collection as well as the location of the nearest park, recycling bank, doctor, chemist and other amenities.
Councillor Achilleas Georgiou, cabinet member for public and service delivery, said: "Moving for most people is massively stressful, but thanks to our new residents' page we can make things easier."
He went on to say that the web page is just one feature of the council's new approach to communications.
Earlier this week, Enfield Council pledged to keep the borough's waste and recycling collections weekly, having taken into account the views of those living in the area.
