Londoners urged to propose cycling activities
Londoners have been invited to come up with ideas for using money that is being made available to promote cycling activities.
Those living in the capital with an interest in the activity are being asked to submit applications, as Transport for London (TFL) aims to encourage more people to take it up.
Grants of up to £5,000 are being provided through the London Cycle Campaign, with women and children anticipated to be a major focus.
"We believe cycling offers fantastic potential for change and want to help you turn your ideas into actions," said head of cycling, walking and accessibility at TFL Peter McBride.
Last week, Lambeth Council announced that £390,000 is being made available for youth projects in the borough.
Young residents were invited to come up with ideas for how the funding will be used, as they will ultimately be running the initiatives when they are put in place.
