Lambeth residents to benefit from new Your Care, Your Way website
Residents living in flats to rent in Lambeth, as well as other property in the borough, are set to benefit from a newly launched website, which allows people to search for important services in the area.
Called Your Care, Your Way, it provides a comprehensive list of community and voluntary groups, as well as social care providers, throughout the borough.
The website has been designed to be as simple and straightforward to use as possible.
Users will have access to information about organisations which offer health and wellbeing services, as well as those giving support to carers, among many other things.
Residents are really set to benefit from the new website, but the council believes it is particularly useful for anyone who gets a personal social care budget.
Social care customers have given their opinion on the site through a series of testing sessions and their input helped to shape the finished product.
Feedback has been positive, according to the council, with one tester describing it as "impressive" and "easy to navigate".
"Your Care, Your Way is the most comprehensive tool available for people who want to find services offered by statutory bodies, like Lambeth Council, but also look at what's available in the private, voluntary and community sectors," said councillor Jim Dickson, cabinet member for health and wellbeing.
He added it the resource will continue to grow, offering people the opportunity to upload new information about services to it, so it remains as up to date as possible.
"In just a few clicks, you can find a wealth of services, and the website has a tool that allows you to search for services closest to your home, so you can build a package that suits you," Mr Dickson added.
A temporary library opened in West Norwood this week, to be used while repairs are being carried out at West Norwood Library and Nettleford Hall, in Lambeth.
