Health service boost for Haringey
The London borough of Haringey has received a boost with the opening of a new £10 million health centre.
The state-of-the-art Hornsey Central Neighbourhood Centre will not only provide top-class health care for Haringey, but will also increase the desirability of living in the area.
The completion of the health centre will give home hunters another reason to choose Haringey as rental location, along with an impressive array of shops, restaurants and bars.
Richard Sumray, chairman of Haringey Primary Care Trust (PCT), said: "This marks a significant step forward for this much-needed new health facility in Haringey.
"I am very impressed with what has been achieved so far, and now look forward to this impressive new building opening its doors
to thousands of local residents."
The London borough of Haringey is also home to the Premier League's Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, who play their matches at White Hart Lane.
The population of Haringey is 224,700, and the area also contains over 600 acres of green space.
