Haringey youngsters set to benefit from new playground
Children living in flats to rent in the London borough of Haringey and other property in the area will now be able to reap the benefits of a new playground.
Located at Thetford Close in N13, the play area features a high double-slide rock spinner, nest swing log walks, trim tram and specially-adapted trees which are great for climbing.
The existing ball court was also refurbished as improvements, costing £45,000, were made to the playground.
Local residents, including those living in property to rent in the London borough of Haringey, were consulted over the plans for the new play facility.
Councillor Nilgun Canver, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said: "This new playground will be great for local families."
He said the aim was to make the new play area "innovative, fun and safe".
Recently, Haringey Council called for people in the area to step up their recycling efforts as part of Recycle Week.
