Haringey residents affected by riots set to benefit from Tottenham Fund
Residents living in flats to rent in Tottenham, and other properties in the borough of Haringey, will be able to benefit from the Tottenham Fund.
Haringey Council set up the money pot to help those who were affected by the recent London riots.
In the first few days after opening, the fund has attracted donations of £16,000.
Generous donations have been received from the Community Assistance Centre, among others, which was set up just after the riots, in order to offer support for residents.
People can contribute to the fund in a number of different ways - paying online, by cheque, direct to the bank or in person.
The fund will only be in place for a limited period and Haringey Council has said it will ensure the donations are used to help those most in need within the community.
Earlier this week, Haringey Council developed designs for a new website and it is seeking residents' views on the improvements, asking them to complete a short survey.
