Haringey parks 'have community feel'
Residents of property to rent in Haringey, as well as other people living in the North London borough, have access to some of the best parks and green spaces in the UK.
That is the view of the Civic Trust, which has awarded Green Flag status to two new areas in the region, Coldfall Wood and Wood Green Cemetery.
Some 14 Haringey parks in total have now been formally recognised in this way, according to the local council.
Haringey Council leader Claire Kober said that the borough's parks have a "wonderful community feel".
"I am delighted to join today's celebration of achieving 14 Green Flags for our open spaces in Haringey," she added, before explaining how a lot of time and money has been invested in making the spaces as good as they are.
Elsewhere in Haringey last week, residents of Tottenham met to discuss how they can make their area better. Some 45 grants were dished out by the local authority to aid community work.
