Haringey Children's Literature Festival kicks off this weekend
Families living in property to rent in Haringey can enjoy a "fun, stimulating and cultural" artistic event from this Saturday (September 10th) at Marcus Garvey Library.
Haringey Children's Literature Festival aims to celebrate young adult and children's writing and encourage kids to share the joy of reading in an interactive environment.
Over the course of a week, a series of events will take place, including talks, readings and illustration and writing workshops.
It all kicks off at 10:00 BST tomorrow at the library's brand new Reading Garden with comedy writer Annie Caulfield talking about her work.
To help people find their way to the festival, there will be a trail of bunting and posters to follow from Seven Sisters Tube station.
Lucy Boyd, Festival organiser: "This is a free event, creating a fun, interactive and stimulating environment that introduces people to the diverse forms through which literature lives - performance, books, story-telling, to name a few.
"The publishing industry is so broad now - and so closely linked to the media with many books inspiring movie counterparts - that there really is something for everyone," she added.
Harginey residents interested in the culinary world should take a look at the Harringay Food Festival, which takes place on Green Lanes on September 18th.
