Flats to rent in Lambeth may be popular after Battersea Power Station approval
People searching for flats to rent in Lambeth might be pleased to note the mayor of London has given the green light to the redevelopment of Battersea Power Station.
Boris Johnson gave the go-ahead to the plans on Wednesday (December 22nd), which may lead to an extension of the Northern Line.
Once regenerated, the building - which has been vacant since 1983 - will be opened up for public use for the first time.
Mr Johnson said the power station has been an iconic figure of London's skyline for a long time.
He added: "The building was once a vital motor helping to power the capital. With its future secured through this regeneration, it will once again play a part in driving London's economy."
What's more, today is the last charging day of the western extension congestion charge before its removal, which could delight those looking to move into flats in West London.
