Flats to rent in Bexley: Sidcup is on the up
New research has highlighted the improving conditions in Sidcup, which may offer new reasons to find flats to rent in the London borough of Bexley.
The study, which was carried out by Strategic Perspectives LLP and commissioned by Bexley Council, concluded that Sidcup is "heading in the right direction" after measures such as the Proud to be Sidcup scheme and improvements to the town's library and other public realm features.
According to the research, there is strong evidence that investment and development in Sidcup town centre could be increased, while recent planning applications for an extension to Morrison's and the development of a Travelodge were highlighted.
In addition, the report found that there are no specific issues facing Sidcup's town centre, other than those affecting the UK in general, and suggested a number of ways in which the area can undergo redevelopment.
Linda Bailey, cabinet member for regeneration at Bexley Council, said: "The findings will now be used to help the council make informed decisions on its strategy for Sidcup's future development."
Earlier this month, Bexley Council claimed that the majority of people asking to improve their gardens through the Neater Neighbourhoods scheme did so within one week.
