Finishing touches put to Heartlands High School
The finishing touches have been put to a secondary school close to property to rent in the London borough of Haringey.
Heartlands High School cost £33 million to build and represents a key part of Haringey's £200 million Building Schools for the Future programme.
The school is located on Station Road in Wood Green and boasts ICT suites, three multi-use games areas, science and food technology rooms and cycle racks.
Councillor Lorna Reith, cabinet member for children and young people at Haringey Council, said: "We're so close to realising our ambition of creating an outstanding school in Wood Green where everything is designed to enable students to succeed."
Building contractors Willmott Dixon started work on the school back in August 2009.
The council is also making improvements to Wood Green common, by adding new trees and fencing.
Earlier this month, photographs of schools taken by pupils from Haringey went on display at Bruce Castle Museum.
