Event highlights Redbridge's work in tackling ASB
An event was held recently in which the work of police and those living in property to rent in the London borough of Redbridge to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB) was praised.
More than 100 people from across the country attended the conference, which was held at Redbridge Town Hall.
It detailed how Redbridge Council, the police, fire brigade and local partners work together to ensure that the borough is a safe place in which to live.
Chief Superintendent Sue Williams, Redbridge Police Borough Commander and chair of the Safer Communities Partnership, said she was very happy with what had been achieved in the area.
"The structure we use helps provide a solid foundation to ensure that all our community partners are working in tune with the council and the police to help tackle crime and ASB," she added.
Last month, dedicated community groups and those living in property to rent were rewarded at the Redbridge Safer Communities Awards.
